Introduction to computer :-
COMPUTER : Computer is an electronic device which is capable to receiving information (data) in a particular form with a predetermined but variable set of procedural instructions (program) to provide a result in the form of information or signals which we can save for future.

Introduction To Computer |
•Data:-Raw fact
•Program:-Set of instruction
•Information:-When data process and
represent any meaning
•Processing:-It means to perform arithmetical and logical operation
Characteristics of computer :-
2. Speed : Computer carry out instructions in less then a million of a second. The speed of computer ia measured in a terms of htz, mhtz, ghtz.
3. Accuracy : Computer can do the calculation without error and very accurately. The degree of accuracy of computer is very high and every calculation is performed with the same accuracy. If we find wrong result the responsibilities goes to the user. Such result is known as GIGO(Garbage In Garbage Out)
4. Storage : Computer can store large volume of data and information on magnetic media. The computer has an in-built memory where it can store a large amount of data with appropriate formate.
5. Power of remembering : Computer can remember data for us. Computer has not their own iq(Intelligence Quotient). Computer doesn't work without instructions.
6. Versatility : Computer are versatile, they perform multiple and different tasks at the same time. Computer has the capacity to perform completely different type of work .
7. Diligence : Computer can work for hour without creating any error. It is free from tiredness, lack of concentration, weakness, etc.
8. Consistency : Computer repeat any task again and again.
