ALL ABOUT SPREAD SHEET | TERMINOLOGY OF SPREAD SHEET

SPREAD SHEET :-


Spread sheet is an electronic sheet which is made by rows and columns and it also give permission to calculate the suitable values.




TERMINOLOGY OF SPREAD SHEET :-


1. Work book - Work book is a collection of
                         many worksheet. A workbook
                         consist 255 worksheet.



2. Work sheet - It is an electronic sheet
                           which is made up of rows
                           and columns.



3. Row - A row is a horizontal block of a                      cell.It is represented by 1,2,3,4............
In 2003 - 1 worksheet = 65,536 rows
In excel 2007,2018,2013,2016 -
1 worksheet = 10,48,576 rows



4. Column - A column is a vertical block of
                     a cell. It is represented by A,
                     B,C,D........
In 2003 - 1 worksheet = 256 column (IV)
In excel 2007 - 1 worksheet = 16,384 column
                                                  (XFD)



5. Cell - Interaction of the row and column
              is called cell. Each cell has a unique
              cell reference.



6. Formula - Formula are equation that
                     perform calculation. Formula
                    always begain with equal sign.



FUNCTION KEYS :-


F1 - Help
F2 - Rename
F3 - Search
F4 - Redo
F5 - Refresh
F7 - Spelling & Grammar
F8 - Selection
F12 - Save As

EXCEL WINDOWS INTERFACE :-


1. Tittle bar - Tittle bar display on the top
                          of the screen.



2. Ribbon - Ribbon is located at the below
                     of the tittle bar.




3. Name box - It is the left end of the
                        formula bar. It identify the
                       selected cell, chart items and
                       object.



4. Formula bar - The formula bar displays
                             the constant value or a
                             formula used in the active
                             cell. It is also used for
                             editing the cell contacts.



5. Sheet tab - A tab is near to the bottom of
                        work.



6. Status bar - Status bar appear at the
                        bottom of the excel windows.
                        It display information
                        regarding a selected
                        commands.



7. Excel zooming - Maximum 400%
                                Minimum 10%


8. Office button - Office button are a file
                              menu.
